Have you thought of converting more of your lawn into an edible landscape?
By gardening your land intensively you can produce high quality food to feed your family.
The food is immune to the economic uncertainly of our day. See how one man makes the change and hear how he feels about it.

Hello Hank, thanks for the post. I have a few questions.
1. Do you think it is healthy to grow food next to the road?
2. How big is your family? The garden seems to produce a lot – are you coping?
3. Are you gardening full-time? If now, how do you manage?
Thank you

1. You need a scientist or ecologist to address this question.
2. We have 6 children and the garden does produce a lot. We cope well by working together for 15 minutes a week in the garden during the spring and summer. I let it go when I am busy, and it still produces well. I spend about 10 minutes every few day in the garden. So relaxing and un-stressing.
3. I prefer a small garden. Focus my effort. 10 minutes tending it every couple of days. The smaller it is, the more productive. When I feed it liquid compost tea the plants produce more. 10 well cared-for plants produce more for me than 100 uncared-for plants.
