By Roydon and Eva Knox
We would like to share this recipe with you for Blender Pancakes. We have made it for many years, the grand children love making them and eating them too of course… Very simple and using all basic food storage supplies. We have shared it with many people so you might already have it.

So here it is…They are quick and easy, using the basic storage items.
Blender Pancakes.
Put 1 ¼ cups water, 1 cup whole wheat kernels and ¼ cup of dry milk powder in blender.
Blend for ABT 3 minutes.
Add 1 egg, 2 tablespoons margarine or oil, 1 tablespoon honey or sugar and ½ teaspoon salt.
Blend for 20 more seconds.
Add 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder.
Pulse 3 times.
Cook immediately in a pan or griddle.
*PS. Skim milk (made up ) may be used instead of the water and milk powder.
Tip: Prepare Blender Pancakes as directed.. Pour onto hot pan or griddle and top with blueberries, sliced bananas, or other fruit. Yum!

Regarding the milk Powder recipe..we found by adding the bottle of cream to skim milk was too rich for us.. One day we had a couple of grand children staying with us who weren’t used to milk powder.. And didn’t like it…So I got up early the next morning made up the milk powder added about a heaped tablespoon of plain ice cream … When it came to breakfast time I waited for the comments “this is nice milk” were the comments…Ah they didn’t know it was milk powder. So that solved our little problem.
Have a great day!

Wow, here’s a blast from the past. This is Sue Wilson. Hi, Royden and Eva. I’ve tried that recipe but it didn’t work very well in my blender. I just bought a fancy new Blendtec, which will make short work of those wheat kernels. I’ll be making those pancakes for the grandkids very soon!
Hi Sue….sure is a blast from the past….great to hear from you…. Sue I guess there are blenders and blenders… I have a real old blender and it works just great…with you buying a new blender it will be well worth it… they really are simple to make and yummy, well we think so. It is a ritual with our grand children when they come to visit to make the wheat pancakes.
Let me know how you get on.
Roydon and Eva.
Have you made these on the barbeque hotplate?
