Choose your flashlights and Batteries

Arm yourself with choices when choosing a flashlight for your emergency kit. You cannot afford a flashlight to fail. When you need it, it must work reliably. The cost of failure is too high to cut costs on a flashlight or batteries.

LED Torches (flashlights)

Keep a torch (flash-light) within reach every night.

I recommend you have an LED torch: i.e. a flash-light with an LED (not a bulb) and use rechargeable batteries.

Flashlights with a small generator are preferred.
